What is a blind hole? What is buried hole?

Blind Via Hole: The outermost circuit of the PCB is connected with the adjacent inner layer by electroplating holes. It is called "blind through" because it cannot see the opposite side. In order to increase the space utilization of PCB circuit layer, the "blind hole" process emerges as The Times require. This production method needs to pay special attention to the depth of the drilling hole (Z axis) to be just right, but this method often causes difficulties in the hole electroplating so almost no manufacturers use; You can also drill a good hole in advance when you need to connect the circuit layer in the individual circuit layer, and then finally stick together, but you need more precise positioning and alignment device.

Buried hole: a connection to any circuit layer inside the PCB that is not channeled to the outer layer. This process cannot be achieved by the way of drilling after bonding. Drilling must be carried out at the time of individual circuit layers. The inner layer must be partially bonded first and then electroplated first, and finally the whole bonding can be completed. This process is usually used only on high density (HDI) circuit boards to increase the available space of other circuit layers.
